Oki combines concrete, a historically significant and ubiquitous material which has come to be synonymous with the tribulations of urban living and ecological impact of urban development, with everyday activities like meals, which similarly don’t feel as significant, for those who can get them. A balanced and even form, heavy weight, and colors not readily associated with eating help bring attention to being mindful.
